Circulation Skills Assessment - Tigard OR

This assessment is used by the Tigard Public Library to determine whether or not a potential volunteer has the skills required to work in circulation.

When it's emailed to prospective volunteers, it says (abridged):

Hi [name],

That sounds wonderful!  Provided you can commit to at least three shifts per month for a minimum of one year and are comfortable with the physical demands of the position, I’d be delighted to start you on the Circulation track.

The first step of the Circulation track is to complete the Circulation Assessment. I’ve included a link to the assessment below. Please read the instructions carefully, take your time, and pay attention to detail. This assessment may only be taken once. You’ll need to score a 12 out of 14 or better to become a Circulation volunteer.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Thank you for your interest in supporting the lifelong learning, programs, and services here at Tigard Public Library!

If a prospective volunteer doesn’t pass, they can still participate and be on-boarded into a different position.
